Try looking at the denver dealerships. They sell a shitload of those cars up there so I bet you could get a better deal. Get a one way ticket on spirit for like $50 and drive it home.

40 g's on a Subaru? Have you gone mad? You can get a really nice low mile GX for that cheese.

I need info on the negotiating part with a dealer!

In that case, go to your banking institution and look at the information they have which tells you how much the dealer is paying for the car, and this is NOT the MSRP. My credit union has this information. Yours should, too. Negotiate from there. Dealer and salesman have got to make something. They ain't selling them to just break even.

I really like the older outbacks that were barebones.

I looked at them a couple times. I want today they went to a diff engine in the past several years and the jury wasn’t out?

Not necessarily what I had in mind for it... but nice.
I just noticed the guy emailed me back. Basically 1500 off the sticker, got to be shitting me right?

Not really. It isn't a ford.

Whatever he gave you off without pushing, he will give you about 80% of that more.

Get them to give you the warranty at cost plus 20 bucks.

Excellent cars.

What is this warranty you speak of? Extra warranty?

Gonna have to go in before they do more negotiating. The price they give in an email is just a start. You aren't real to them until you test drive. Then be willing to walk. Id almost suggest planning a walk out. Not in an angry way, just go early in the day, then say you've got another deal to check on. Call back a few hours later and see if it's the best they can do as you are about to sign other papers or something and wanted to check one last time.

I know nothing about them, but that interior is nice looking.

You specifically looking for AWD?

Yep. They are not going to start throwing out best price before meeting you.

I found trucar to be quite accurate....or helpful at least.

What was wrong with the RDX? My wife drives a new CRV, but if I had to do it over again we would get the Acura or a Rav4

Maybe I'm misreading your OP, but you should get a decked out forestor 2.5 AWD for $30k.

This is Houston...

I need to know if $1500 off is the equivalent of kicking me in the balls. I was thinking at least 3k?

What diff does it make how much they come down? I mean, isn't it equally as important where they started? Mark it up 4 come down 3?

Either it's worth it or it isn't, right? I don't know a lot about Subarus other then they seem to be northern phenomenon, due to the AWD and the snow. I know a Subaru fan from Minnesota. I asked him what the deal was with them and he starts naming all the problems he had with his previous Subarus. Goddamn if I'd have bought another one.

That’s not the same car, same model... but not the same pkg... I checked in Houston. They are near the same price. Not a whole lot of wiggle room on these.

Had a contact through my wife that I didn’t realize... got good information and feel comfortable moving forward.
