Headed for an overnighter. Anyone hear about the bite?

It's been great. Last week the bite was after dark and on poppers. YMMV

Are you fishing with a charter?

Good news. No private boat. Killed them about a month ago out of Venice

Caught 6 Yellowfin between 45 and 71 lbs trolling live hardtails 104 miles out in Green Canyon 787. Also 1 15# blackfin and a nice rainbow runner. It was rough as shite with a solid 15-20 mph East wind all night and day.

Head east fish being caught everywhere. Chunk has seemed to be the ticket lately. Might have to stick and move, but if you fish hard, you shouldn't have too much of an issue putting a good box together.

WTF do you know about long runs? Looking at the arse end of Sea Tow vessel isn't considered a long run, that's called a long tow.

You right. 40 miles is a far run when you have mercs

No. Just tired of the cock strong tuna fishermen I've been encountering the past few days. They all think they're tuna masters. One of em, who doesn't even have a boat, is building his own bamboo gaff.
