I am thinking of getting my Duty9 cajunized and putting a reddot on it. Anyone have experience with Cajun?

Nothing wrong with my D9, love it. It is my main home defense pistol which is why I want the reddot. Problem is you have to get them modified to accept one.

I had him work my P-09 over as well as a canik - a cheap copy of a cz. Both turned out amazing. I was close enough to hand deliver and pick up. He’s a really nice guy and knows czs like nobody else. Do not hesitate to use him if you need work done.

I've seen a lot of their work. All of it great. They are the CZ experts.

I made a thread a couple years ago about my experience with CGW. Very quality operation up there.

Are the action parts made by CZ or does Cajun modify the existing parts?

Pretty sure he has them manufactured. 5-6 years ago when I went, he had regular gunsmithing tools, but no lathes and mills.

Anyone have recommendations for a decent red dot that I can put on it. I am sure he will recommend some but want to do some internet shopping.

Check out the new holosun carry optics, will fit very nicely on the cz.

The state has been testing out the holosuns and they gave held up very well.

they did the full upgrade on my shadow 2 "orange"

2.5# SA 5.5# DA....Smooth as can be.

I've since added a magwell, LOK thins and Taran Tactical +2 mag base pads

only thing "orange" now is the extended mag release (sleeper)

switching from factory 115gr ammo to handloaded 147gr at 905fps is really gonna be a game changer.

looking forward to it.

I am a little shocked CZ pistols don't come sight adaptable and have to be machine modified.

Or is this most pistols and I am just ignorant?

Yeah, I'm a little disappointed in that you have to have your slide machined for an optic(or use a dovetail plate mount)

and no one will machine the slide and have a plate that puts the sight back on,

I thought about purchasing another slide($$$$) and have it cut for optics, but the orange's slides are hand fitted(unsure about other models)

Most companies these days are making optic ready pistols. CZ is just a little behind, but they have recently released a shadow 2 optics ready model.
