All 22 rimfire revolvers require a heavy hammer strike, due to the rim primer, thus it too will be hard to pull.

The GP 100 is too large for a small woman, it has no frame backstrap thus the grips will be too fat.

GP 100 can be tuned with a wolf spring kit & sear polish to a point that it is very lite and glass smooth.

Before I start, NOT A POLICE OFFICER.

Now that is out of the way, times and shooting styles have evolved from the 80s. That was 40 years ago.

Guns have evolved tremendously since then as well. Manufacturing has made guns a much higher quality (in most cases) and much more reliable.
Glock, S&W, H&K, Sig and so many others make guns that will be dang near 100% reliable.
Shooting stances and grips have evolved as well.

You, Sir, are correct -- I was not in law enforcement in the 80's and have never completed a LE academy class.

I do have almost 500 hours of training from some of the most respected defensive handgun instructors on this continent (including but not limited to Clint Smith, Massad Ayoob, Andy Stanford, Tom Givens, John Farnam, Steve Moses, Jeff Gonzales, Tiger McKee and Jerry Miculek). All of these were two-three day classes during which we fired 800-1400 rounds.(The two days I spent with Jerry Muculek comprised a one-on-one private lesson during which I expended about 1500 rounds).

Over the years numerous LEOs (mostly LSP Troopers) have asked me to train their spouses, parents, children, etc. I have also trained more than one cadet who was failing the handgun portion of CARTA.

I competed in IDPA and in PPC matches for quite a few years. But these days I spend most of my spare time teaching CCW classes as a Louisiana State Police Concealed Handgun Instructor.

So I'm certain that the training provided to you in the 1980's was superior to that which I've received. And I'm quite certain that you are far more competent than I with a handgun.

It's been an honor to read your contributions to this thread.

eta: corrected an omission

A civilian firearms buff. No knowledge of Street Tactics of Law Enf. Use of any available cover, reloading for the time of that era, etc. You should have kept your mouth shut.

Correct. So whats your point. The thread is about revolvers. And we were specifically pointing out the heyday of it in law enforcement. Has nothing to do with present day firearms.

You must separate A from B, in all of life's endeavors.

At That Time, many depts were still using the old FBI stance. Davis made use of available cover, demonstrated correct usage of safariland speedloaders. You would know this if you were in law enforcement. If not, you should just not reply.

You’re just an out of touch idiot who’s time has unfortunately passed them by.

I wonder if you ever failed your gun qualifier. I’d bet you did but wouldn’t dare say.

Charter Arms Bulldog, .44 Special, 5 shot cylinder, IWB appendix. I may begin carrying a SA instead due to a larger capacity of pew pews. I alternated a bit lately.

Nope. We are law officers. Civilians do not have a commission.

Would you like a bigger shovel cap ?

The 22 mag packs a punch. I have a tiny one I can conceal in the palm of my hand and it's louder than my Colt 38 sp.

And just when I thought you couldn't possibly display your ignorance at a greater level.

If you're a cop (which I doubt more and more every time you post), you're not a "law officer." You'd be a "peace officer." Hence the name of the P.O.S.T. training course (assuming you even completed a P.O.S.T. course).

Cops are citizens who can quit their job anytime - like any other civilian. Military personnel (non-civilians), however, don't have this option, and are also (unlike cops and other civilians) subject to the USCMJ.

You really come across as a mall security guard - at least that's the mentality you project. You sound a lot like the guy from N. La. who used to post under several screen names and was a self-anointed expert on everything related to firearms. I'm sure someone can recall his name.
