My 2 teenage boys will be sweating it out this evening in hopes for their 1st velvet bow kills.

Man this heat is brutal and good luck to them. Surprisingly I have a cow horn spike on camera already fully out of velvet

I have a decent 8 that’s fully out of velvet ( cenla area). Props to anyone hunting in this heat. Went to the lease to take care of a few things. Was drenched in sweat the first 30 minutes. And the love bugs were insane

I sprayed my plots today and that was enough. The love bugs were terrible. I’ll wait until November to shoot a deer. I don’t hate them meat as bad as I used to.

One really nice buck was killed at Magna Vista, and I saw a picture of a guy in Panola county with a 206”. Props to those young guys getting it done in the heat.

I hunted yesterday morning. Didn’t see anything. Then went move cameras and planted a small food plot. By the time I was done, I drove back home instead of hunting the afternoon.
