All trucks are ugly. They're tools. The new Toyotas look like a lego kit, but if they fit my needs I'd buy one.
Nah, I'm not here to hate on any of these choices. But, a ridgeline really is super feminine in terms of styling. Other current mid sized trucks all look pretty good. some look -really- good. the ridgeline looks super weak for a truck. but i'd opt for one potentially if it didn't look like a woman's car.

Outdoor board googans- All I want is a basic pickup for a reasonable price. Just give me AC and4 wheels
Also Outdoor board googans- I wouldn't be caught dead in a Ridgeline. That aint a real truck

It isn’t body on frame. It’s basically like a ford maverick or a Hyundai Santa Cruz… neither of which is a truck.
A ridgeline is a passenger car with the arse end shaped kind of like a truck bed.

I saw a new frontier the other day and thought it looked really nice.

I have no complaints about my Frontier. Not a ton of bells and whistles, but it's been solid for me. I liked the new style, and the fact it had a naturally aspirated v6.

Matching truck Nutz?
Looks good, are you sitting on the floor like a Tacoma?

1987 Ford Ranger:
- 2.9L V6
- 15-18 mpg
- 0-60: 10-12 seconds
- 1,711 lb. payload capacity
- 5,600 lb. towing capacity
OB: "Hell yeah, a real man's truck. I wish they still made them like that!"
2025 Honda Ridgeline:
- 3.5L V6
- 18-24 mpg
- 0-60: 6.2 seconds
- 1,500 lb. payload capacity
- 5,000 lb. towing capacity
OB: "I mean a Ridgeline is fine I guess, if you want a fairy car with an open-air rear to haul your tampons in!"

Just bought a 2025 ram 1500 Laramie crew cab 4x4. Has the hurricane SO engine and 3.92 diff. Have about 500 miles on it and love it so far. Impressed with cab luxury and standard features like spray in bed liner and 20” tires and the price was 19k off sticker. Always drove a Ford or Chevy but Ram impressed me and could still tow 11,000 lbs with a gasoline engine.

For comparison a new ford Ranger can tow 7,500 lbs.
Not a fair comparison, Ranger is still a "truck". A better comparison would be the Maverick.
Anyway might I interest the OP in

We can admit that the Ridgeline is the modern El Camino, right?

“I’d paint the windows black so no one could see me driving it,”
Real men don’t give a shite what people think about what they drive.
Sorry your balls never dropped when you were born.

Wasn’t it on a caprice classic chassis?

2024 Nissan Frontier Pro4X
Dear god tell me it isn't his first vehicle? Everyone just fricks up their first vehicle.
Problem is frontiers are damned near bomb proof. Poor guy is gonna expect that from every vehicle from now on
Mid size new? Frontier.
Mid size used, previous generation frontier.
Mid size used but you hate nissan: 4.0l tacoma.
Mid size new but you prioritize looks: the gm platform is gorgeous.
Midsize used and you want to stunt on hoes: baby raptor.
I will edit this post to say my buddies dad, not understanding tow ratings all that well pulled a 24ft equipment trailer with a large enclosed kubota and implements 26 miles to his house. Near as I can guess, it was 12-13k lbs.
Honest answer? It seems to scoot along just fine when he left
Editing again to say crawl under the trucks and compare brake rotor and caliper sizes. Not just diameter...but thickness. Same for a arms and axles.

In all honesty, I’d buy a ridgeline before the new Tacoma.

Damn baw, you work for Nissan? haha
Yep his 1st and his little butt will be paying for any damages! (good friend owns a body shop)
It pulls my 20’ bass boat just fine in tow mode.
I find it has too many bells and whistles but it was only 2024 left on lot and they made us a deal we couldn’t pass up.

My neighbor liked my Ridgeline, traded in his GMC.I’m actually seeing more of them around.
I was going to buy 2024 Tacoma but I was skeptical of the turbocharged 4 cylinder. It might be ok but I’ll let others find out.
Went to Honda dealer looked at the Ridgeline, test drove it and I liked it.Still do.

My father in-law drives one. It’d be cool to lift them just a little.

Bet the Lebanese crowd would luv it

I've got one and would replace it with another one if it was stolen or totaled. Excellent vehicle.
