That buckle is very likely used in the suspension of the prosthesis. Looks to be an old style prosthesis, somebody probably got a new one and was looking for something to do with the old one that didn't fit any more.

Saturday I found a helium balloon with most of the helium gone from it. So it came back down to earth. I shook it and there was something inside. I popped it and there was a note that said, Get well soon Ms. O'Quendo. I could tell by the handwriting that a young child had wrote it. Would love to know how far that balloon traveled !

Does it float? Maybe he used it to mark some trot lines.

This thread might need to be stickied. I found an old B-52 bombing site squirrel hunting. It was used my Barksdale AFB during the cold war. All the bombs were dummies and this area was used as a practice range. There are still shells out there. When I go back I will take pics. It is pretty neat.

EJW sent it to me this morning via text. I am going to send it to the grumpy old dick that hunts my lease twice a season and tell him this might explain how the door to his stand got kicked in when it went mysteriously locked one weekend.

You need to get that mounted. Probably cost you an arm and a leg though.

I'm guessing it was a stolen item and then someone figured out that they are all serial numbered and traceable so had to toss it and tried to make it disappear with the help of a window sash weight.

melt the weight and make bullets.
