We had trouble finding the spot to set up and only had 2 minutes to spare before legal shooting time, but we did well again. Ended up with 30 specks and 18 Canada geese. Finished out limit by 8:45. Also got my first banded speck! I've been hunting 30 years and have never shot one. Needless to say he's getting mounted.

My father in law and friends leave on the 24th heading up there for their 11th annual trip. I hate I couldn't make this trip but I will be going up there again. It's a blast.

What birds can you bring home from Canada? I had a friend go a few times, and if I recall correctly, they had to get them processed in to snack stix or some shite like that.

Awesome hunt, regardless

You are allowed 3 limits of ducks and geeses. More than you need. We are going to try and bring as many specks back as we can.

You really have to know how to cook those specs or they taste nasty. I can take them off your hands though if you want. I'm poor, skinny and hungry.

I have some snow geese in my freezer from two years ago that I'll donate to your dinner table.

What's the process in bringing one back for a mount?

And a wing has to be left on the cleaned ones, correct?

Yes on wings. We are buying several 120q ice chests to load ducks and geese and one chest just for mounts. Freeze them and top dry ice on top.
