$400/case is still ridiculous.

Definitely but it’s moving in the right direction. The average shooter has a finite appetite for stockpiling ammo. I think .25 a round is where it’ll eventually settle

I agree, but at least they have it in stock again.

I have scripts I wrote to check for availability of several loadings that I shoot. For a year, the availability was in the realm of "When that script wakes your arse up at 5 am for a restock, you'd better move if you want to get any". Over the last month or so, though, .22LR is pretty much always available, 9mm has been steadily available the last two or three weeks, and for about the last week and a half or so, .300BLK has been popping up. This is all just the stuff I like to shoot, so the general availability is probably a bit better if you're not too picky about your loadings and brands.

Supply and demand are definitely getting back into whack. Now to see where prices settle out.

no it won't

I'm not considering buying 9mm again until it hits 20 cents a rd. We're halfway there.

And it shocks me that I still haven't sold the last of my 38 special ammo.
I'm waiting on < $.25 on 9mm to start buying again. I have plenty of .223 and .45 to get me through the apocalypse

I stumbled across two lonely boxes of .38 special at Academy last Tuesday 25.99 for a 50 round box. That is the first time in well over a year that I have seen any on the shelf, so I snagged them with a quickness.
The only place I have found any at all is one of our local gun stores, but he has been charging $1/round for reloads.

About three months ago I found two random boxes of 100 38spl. Felt like the lottery. But that’s all I’ve found and my buddy begged me to sell him a box so I’m holding on to my 100 rounds til I can find more.

The new normal isn't happening until it's regularly on shelves again and not being hoarded online with their bullshite shipping and fees.

I carry a semiautomatic 9mm like everyone else most times, but I have a soft spot for snub nose revolvers. It’s so compact and comfortable and light and I figure 5 rounds oughta be enough for walking the dog in the neighborhood or a bike ride.
