78 year old, first live game shot in 10 year yesterday

I have had this pesky red squirrel attacking my fruit trees and bird feeders for months now. I live in a subdivision with pets that limit traps and poison bait. Purchased an upscale pellet/bb air gun to influence the rodent. He's crafty and runs for cover and away when he sees me. I located the gun under my outside cabinets for quick access. Yesterday peering out the back door I see him in the middle of the feeder eating everything. Grabbed the gun, and went left on the counter to line up a shot that had no outboard motors in the back ground, or windows. Quickly drew a bead on his arsse, and fired a sure shot. He jumped 4 feet in the air went for cover and last seen running fast 4 houses down. It was a great hunt.

If your vision is blurry and you saw 3 of them, aim for the one in the middle next time.
I'm not far behind at 73, but my aim is still good enough to pee standing up at 3 a.m. and waking from a dead sleep.
