I see a lot of this ammo available and know it can run on an AR15 lower, with the correct upper configuration. I guess the availability is from its newness to the market.

Is anyone using this, and what is the purpose? I figure hogs and deer out to 150yds more or less.

Mainly is was intended for use in states where you have to hunt with straight wall cartridges.

What is the rational here? Which states do this?

For some reason I was thinking Ohio as well.

Seems like a good choice for LA if you don't want and need the recoil of a 35 whelen.

I've seen way more ammo available for it than I've seen rifles.

Works great on hogs. I've dropped them at 40 yards faster than the 30-06 standing next to me.

Built one in a AR platform out of curiosity when the caliber came out. I like it and have killed a few hogs with it already. Killed one at 200yrds using the Winchester 150gr. Plan to let my growing son hunt with it.

Pretty much the same story for me. I killed a hog and my youngest son shot a doe this year with it. I like it a lot for < 200-yard shots. Unlike others though, I've not had an easy time finding ammo locally or online for the past couple months.

Academy around STL seems to always have it. Gun shop/shooting range real close to me (Range West) had plenty on the shelf yesterday. Prices seem to be normal.

I was looking for an upper pretty hard, until I realized it was designed on .355 rather that .357 diameter bullets.

Makes reloading for it using common components difficult

Well I wish I was closer. I'm in Central Texas and I haven't found any at Academy around here. I found 3 boxes of the Winchester 150 gr Deer Season XP at Walmart about 2 months ago and haven't seen that on the shelf anywhere since.

I built the 350 in part because I figured not many folks around here would be interested the round. But in times like these, people are willing to buy just about anything that goes boom when you pull the trigger

My .38-55 is the same way. Winchester made a bunch of ammo for it that’s .375, but the barrel on the Target Classics is .377. That Winchester ammo key holes.

Because Winchester wants you to buy their factory ammo rather than reloading good bullets. Like the Hornady 180 grain XTP.

Because it's a 9mm bullet. I think browning is or was trying to load it with 124 fmj.

Eta. I wonder how a 147 hollow point would upset at those velocities
