3 Wt skinny water fly rods

What are recs for a 3wt for the purposes of bushwacking through privet and rhododendron off trail to little blue lines for brook trout, I assume 2 or 3 piece because a 7 or 8 ft rod doesn't transport well in such conditions.
I already have a 6wt for my other purposes, I'm looking for a ninja rig.
I have money to spend, but I don't want to spend it needlessly so budget is a consideration. For my purposes, good enough is good enough. I don't have a youtube channel.

You spend time near the watauga river?
I was there today.
I do remember reading an article in the Charlotte observer about a baw who tried to catch brookies in streams 3 feet wide.
He was very successful at it.
But I cannot find the article.

I have a 7’9” 2wt St Croix Legend Elite that I love.
I don’t fish places like that but it would be perfect.
This is an older rod but there are other St Croix available

I have a cheap reddington classic trout 3 wt 4 piece for brookie hunting. Works fine.
I will say fishing really small water and for the little brookies I've considered going to something more like a 0 or 1 wt... the Sage Dart intrigues me.

How was it? I live about 30 minutes from the Watauga and 15 from the South Holston and I haven't fished either in a year or more. Need to get my arse out there.

I use a TFO NXT Black Label 9’/4 piece 5 WT and it works just fine. I visit the mountain streams of the Smokies and Cherokee National Forest often, to include backpacking trips. It works fine. I find myself rarely doing a full backcast…and really only have about 10-12’ of line (tippet + leader) out at any given time. A Tenkara rod may be useful as it packs down smaller, but I have not used one.

I’m more of a Piedmont bass fly fisherman.
I was there working and pulled out the rod, went to orvis, got a couple web’s and clousers enjoyed my hour and a half out there.

They never did an article on me...
When I was in Grad school at App state, I fished things that you would look at and say, "No way there's fish in there." Many of them were 18" or less wide. (Depth is/was more important than width.)
There are some tiny creeks along the Blue Ridge Parkway between Blowing rock and Deep Gap that hold fish, but involve significant bushwhacking.

I've watched a couple of videos on Tenkara rods and they seem to be what your looking for.

I've been looking for the same. 7'6" seems to be the preferred length for this.
Sage is the ultimate but super high $$$$
If you're a purist then there's fiberglass to consider
Budget really matters you can spend $75 or $750 on a rod for this purpose.

Don't get a tenkara rod. Go to your local shop and hold a few rods 3 wt or smaller and less than 8 ft. I like TFO, st croix and orvis

Starting to lean more to just a 2 piece ultralight spin combo, zing a nymph or bead head hares ear up in a hole. I have enough ultralight reels so really just a pole if I go that direction, all my ultralights are single piece.
ETA- I'm having a hell of a time online trying to find 2pc ultralights. Any recs are appreciated.

Lew’s makes a great ultralight spincast with the trigger underneath. They have some on Amazon. If that’s what you’re inquiring about

What about a pack rod? I’ve used one of these for trout fishing in NE GA : Daiwa Spinmatic
