What about a pack rod? I’ve used one of these for trout fishing in NE GA : Daiwa Spinmatic
Boston whaler. Maybe overpriced from the start though
Family member in Paradis losing shingles, trees down. Haven’t heard anything about water coming in yet.
H.D. Gibbes & Sons steakhouse in Learned, near hwy 27.

re: Rod Holders In The Bed Of Truck

I used to surf fish Elmers Island a good bit and zip-tied a couple plastic rod holders to a ratcheting cargo bar to hold rods up and away from other junk in bed of truck. Worked well, cheap.

Grilling backstraps is fine. I grew up eating them fried @ camp after someone shot a deer and prefer that preperation. Other cuts are too tough to be paneed IMO.

Cut into medallions, pound flat, egg wash, seasoned breadcrumbs, pan fry.
Gulf Wax, available at most supermarkets.
I would recommend a turkey vest with a seat built in, keeps all your gear organized. Also an inflatable decoy is easier to carry than the collapsible rubber ones.
That looks pretty solid. My point about Yeti vs Pelican is that you don't have to buy anything special to lock up a Pelican...piece of chain + padlock.
Pelican has best design IMO. You can't lock up a Yeti/et al. in a truck bed, but Pelican has handles molded into their ice chests that you can put a chain through.

I've never tried trapping personally but my dad hired a trapper last year, caught half dozen coyotes on a few hundred acres. I think to really control them you would have to trap year round. Otherwise you just kill a few and others move in to replace them.

re: Best electric fillet knife?

I'm curious about doing something similar with a ryobi oscillating tool + rigid recip attachment (which supposedly fits ryobi) to make a cordless electric fillet knife.

I don't think returning ribs is necessarily trashy, but is it worth the hassle?! Try em’ and report your findings.
