Not a Ford man but I do like. But those round fenders do not match the truck. I still rather the new Chevy but not bad.

Looks like a Toyota. I swear all the major truck companies use the same design team.

It's the same at every company. It's like non-truck people are designing what they think truck buyers want...so we end up with more chrome, black plastic, and blingy nonsense. Just 10 years ago, they looked so much better.

I much prefer the new mid sized GM trucks to this.

not a ladder, but this video shows stowable 4-wheeler ramps that are pretty damn cool

so we end up with more chrome,

This drives me crazy. Was shopping around for new trucks a while back and it seemed like every model Ford and GMC I looked at had extra packages with Chrome everywhere.

One sales guy actually tried to tell me I was wrong when I told him I didn't like chrome rims on a 4 wheel drive truck. How can I be wrong if I simply don't like something. It looks stupid. Not to mention the rims were part of a 2k "Chrome value package" or something.

the new platinum model in the video right above your post has a lot less chrome than the current model's platinum does

It wasnt really a Ford specific complaint. Just in general it seems that its hard to find a nicely equipped GM or Ford truck without chrome added everywhere.

I'd also add that I liked the rims on the last gen platinums. Just not a fan of shiny chrome. Thats all.

I like it. Looks more masculine than the rounded off version.

why is that?

besides for aftermarket panels and availability i don't see it costing anymore to fix than any other newer model, right? that is just my thinkiing

More expensive materials, more expensive bodywork, and probably more expensive insurance premiums.

FWIW, steel is less expensive and easier to work than aluminum. Paintless dent repair will be a thing of the past
