Saturday: 3 man limit of teal by 6:45

Sunday: 7 teal, 2 spoonies, 1 grey. Two hunters. Could have limited on teal early but we decided to try and wait for big ducks.

It was an inside joke for Josey. He and I were on an island in the MS River one night years ago while hunting with some buddies at Ashbrook. We rode out to the sandbar and had a few beers and ran into a group of men that we didn't think needed to be there. After meeting them, they were established men camping on the sandbar that were not trespassing and had every right to be there. I asked one of them where he was from. Star City was the response. I nodded my head and replied that I had fricked a fella from Star City before.

Josey didn't talk to strangers for a good portion of his life. He laughed at that moment for quite some time. I always think of it when I see or hear "Star City".

No homo. Honest.

Why? Why would you say that to strange Arkansans on a Sandbar late at night?

We wanted to make sure they didn't bother us the rest of the evening, plus we weren't exactly thinking with a clear head that night.

yep. Here it is friday afternoon literally an hour after we launched it at the camp. Boat slid on my dad and he ran it right up on the land. prop was a foot up on the land and we were high centered pretty bad. Had to rock the boat pretty aggressively to get it off

Well, glad it worked out for you and didn't have the opposite effect. Although you and Josey having to fight off two love struck Arkansan bull queers at midnight on the banks of the Big Muddy would have made for a fine story around the kick fire.
