200$-400$ Gift ideas as a Thank You
Posted by Sheesh125 on 6/10/19 at 7:16 pm00
Looking for gift ideas in the 200-400$ Price range as a thank you for someone who won’t take payment. Mainly looking for fishing related ideas but something outdoor kitchen related may work. They do have a bass boat and a Komodo Joe grill. As of now I was thinking a new freshwater setup but just want to see if anyone had any better ideas.

Take them with you on a guided fishing trip. Win/Win

You said he has a bass boat, I’d take him speckled trout fishing. Likewise, if he had a bay boat I’d take him on a Toledo sac a lait trip.
Take him to do something he doesn’t always do...

Honestly this sounds crazy but...
If they like the outdoors and have a back patio ask if they would like to trick it out.
For $400 you can buy wire, lights, switches, outlets, and an outdoor fan like I have.
Then help them setup and wire it. I did mine for less than $400 after I built the shade sail structure I wanted. If they already have somewhere to wire and mount too you are golden. I use mine pretty much every day.

200.00 or 400.00? This could be a life changing event.

Could you have some coozies made on their behalf for their outdoor kitchen or bass boat? Those are always a big hit and a reminder of good times. I'm no picasso but have designed a few over the years for a dove hunt we do and it always brings a smile to my face when I use them

Something like:
Joe's garage
Or
Smoking with Smith
Accompanying graphic, clearly. Sounds cheesy, but down the road it's a great keepsake
Eta:
3 yrs worth of coozies for a dove hunt we do. They are fairly cheap:

Why. On gods green earth. Would you spend $200 on a pair of pliers?

Abel was the 1st to come out with fishing pliers that were considered high $ and they were made and still are made in the USA.
I actually do have a pair but I’ve had them for 20+ years and have had them in many places in the US and a couple of other countries.

Van Stahl are $400, just a uneek gift for someone who wouldn’t spend that kind of coin on himself. Zero difference between that and a shotgun that cost close to $2,000.

I’ll add to that, that many of these high end reels are made by fly reel companies. Their reels normally start around $500 and upwards of $1000
