Thanks Rabbit, he was pumped (I was more pumped that we found it) it's his biggest. Obviously he would have been better next year but he's the best we have on camera this year and in FL where everyone can kill 2 bucks a day for 100 days he wasn't going to make it. Our neighbors shoot everything.

My son is the luckiest hunter in the world though. First time he ever sat with me at 3/4 years old we saw 5 bucks and 2 fought. He'll tell me where he wants to sit and I'll say "buddy we haven't got a picture there in weeks" he won't care and we'll sit there and out will come a deer or hog.

Awesome.

Sounds like he is just a much better hunter than you.

Haha, I actually noticed today he doesn't get shook he gets confident.

Today when the buck came out on the trail to our right I didn't think it would walk to our left to give us a shot. I was getting nervous he was leaving and he just starts saying "oh yeah he's going to come out there and I'm going to smoke him!" Sure enough he was right. I just think he's so used to it he doesn't really know what he's doing is a big deal.

Congrats on the fine kill for the young man. Hopefully it gets him hooked and not spoiled like it did mine. He doesn't want to actually hunt. Just shoot.

Afternoon hunt has began
Centerville Ms
Lock on in mixed pine / hardwood
Scrape line and trails everywhere

Was really tempted to hunt my ground blind. Huge ribbon a tree within view but with it being a pretty afternoon I didn't want a roof over my head. Found a hog track the size of my fist. Even our 300lb 4-H hogs don't get close enough to that size.

55 degrees and thankful for the little breeze as I have too many clothes on.
Box with 35 Whelen

Wish I Could See A Deer (shootable). I guess I'll start blind calling on my grunt call too, I'm sure I'll scare every animal within 500 yards away. This is my last hunt until Friday of next week.

Cro - let me come manage that place for you up the road from me.

Good luck OB and stay safe.

PT24-7 - can I borrow your boy for a day? He can just sit somewhere around my stand. My 3 year old makes too much noise and won't last 15 minutes. I need some good mojo
