God bless you

I just shot a spike. Not huge but he was headed from me to my neighbor who plays if it's brown it's down. So I took the meat

Bow hunting

Killed a 6 point following another 6.

33 yards. Gave him a bleat to stop him. He dropped and tried to dive back the way he came from when I let my 3 blade rage fly.. He cut a flip and crashed through the thicket. Blood was light red and no arrow. Found a part of the arrow about 70 yards away. Tracked him about a half a mile. Found him about 30 yards from last blood. Arrow hit him in the neck just below the jaw. When I dressed him, I found the rest of my arrow. It had traveled down his neck and along the back. The broadhead was about3 feet from the entrance . Didn't have my camera, but my friend took pics. I'll post them when I get them.Still can't believe he travelled that far with that wound.

could you see the neighbor in the stand waiting for the spike to give him a shot? Kind of dumb logic

That's a bad arse pic my man. Trade you a duck hunt in NELA for a gobbler hunt.

Man I'd take that in a heart beat. My parents have a black lab that I'm dying to get out to hunt some ducks. She loves to retrieve. I've shot a few geese around her and she has no fear going after them. I think she would have a blast with some ducks.

We've got a few coyotes in the area that usually keep the turkey population in check. I've seen so many turkey's up here throughout the area this year, something has to have changed. I've got three private areas that I hunt on in the county that are at least 10-15 miles a part and all are full of turkeys this year. Looked forward to spring!
