I'm not in the woods today. We are taking my son for his first soccer for tots at 9am. He's 21 months old and seems like yesterday he was born, but also seems like it was 21 years ago if that makes any sense.
This time next week, I will have the hammer down on my way to Western Kentucky for a four day rut hunt. I woke up at 3am this morning working on my list of things to get together.

didnt make it this morning. Stayed up late last night at the church, we had a turkey shoot and i needed some rest. So since it eas a full moon i said screw it! Bed felt nice

Last hunt in SE Kansas
I've seen tons of deer and have passed on several average ones.
Been a great week of hunting up here. Oh well, looks like I'm coming home empty handed.
At least I'll be home in time for the game.

My uncle just sent me a video of him shooting a doe in Oil City. Then a buck walked out too, and he dropped it. Then he called me and while we were on the phone, another one walked out. I swear that guy is a deer magnet.

glad someone is seeing something. this is my 5 th hunt and I haven't seen the first deer while hunting this year. not normal for me.

Got to the cp late because of my baby. Hinted a stand close to the camp w no luck. Drinking some motor oil...eh, coffee back at the camp now. Gonna go put out some feed, seed, check a cam, work on a few stands and make an evening hunt before the game.
