Can we be friends? I’m equally obsessed over duck hunting and wade fishing for trophy trout.

Just started deer hunting last year. I love just getting out of the house, filling the feeder, maintaining cams and seeing what different stuff I can get deer to eat on. Gonna try to make a small plot under the canopy this year. If not this year than next. Just trying to figure out what the he’ll I am doing has been awesome. Never hunted before last year and I am 37.

1. Saturday night at camp when it’s cold, fire is burning, radio is on small town country gold Saturday night or a football game, beverages are flowing, and there’s a soft pack of Marlboro Lights that “nobody is going to smoke”.
2. Wildlife farming and seeing the results of all that work on a plot walk in front of your stand early one morning.
3. Fishing for “brim” on a Zebco 33 microcork.
4. When the hangover breaks headed offshore in the morning.

Merely being in the outside with family and friends.
It is enough.

Deer. With the technology today, killing Mature deer on my high pressure lease has been fun. I’ve gone all Cell Cams and modified a golf cart, which was actually a fun project. The other members still haven’t caught on that the cart is the secret weapon.
Bass fishing and Turkey are tied for second. The best bass fishing is during turkey season......Tough call

The flushing sound and the hookset on a toad that just sucked up a frog skipped under a tree or a dock

Thermal hunting pigs at night is currently number one.
Sight fishing Jacks with the fly rod is definitely up there as well.

Climbing in my tent drunk on whiskey after sitting around a camp fire with the friends and/or family.
I don’t hunt anymore since I lost a shite ton of gear to a Sabine flood a few years back.

Rutting elk in the backcountry of the Colorado Rockies. I haven't found anything that excites me as much as calling in a bugling bull to bow range.
