That darn Ethiopian found another gear to get second. What a race that was for Fisher. He almost went down during the race.

Probably the most exciting 10k in recent olympic history.

I swear to god, every event I turn on has been awesome. Even the white water kayaking the other day went down to the wire.

God bless those Ethiopians for taking that race out like that. As a coach I take pride in race tactics but man it’s so much more fun to watch when it’s just a balls to the wall slug fest.

Yea rupp finished second behind Farrah. Much less exciting race. Really feel like he could have won that but let off the gas.

Hell of a finish! Ethiopians almost got blanked but that one guy had a heck of a kick to nip Grant for silver.

He came from way back!

To my fellow running and T&F geeks, I just found this Olympics page. Cool to talk track with you folks.

What an absolute badass performance by Grant Fisher. With about six laps to go I thought the Ethiopians would drop him and he would fade but he jhung with them. Sucks to miss the silver but that other kid had a massive kick.Still an awesome day for US distance running.

USA! USA!

GRANT FRICKING FISHER HELL YES

That was amazing... I'm glad I cancelled all meetings for the afternoon

Did I miss a rule or at least an ethics change about lapped runners moving out of the way. Fisher had .a slight pause with 230 ish to go they seemed to break his momentum for a couple strides because of a lapped runner ...but even going through 1 and 2 the lead mass was jockeying around lapped runners that should have been moved out 3 lanes

But props to Nick Young dude ran like his life depended on it..that was gutsy as I have seen.

Congrats to Team USA 10000

Can't stand Rupp at all. Glad he's been out of it ever since the NOP got shut down. Dude was spoon fed position from high school. Granted I hate everyone and everything about the NOP group because they all knew exactly what they were doing.

Same. I loved him when he initially started with that but that was partially because I was young, naive, and didn’t know any better. That race in London just left a bad taste in my mouth. I’m not saying he intentionally threw it, but I think he left some in the tank because it was his buddy mo infront of his home crowd.
