how do you clean up beached oil? Is there going to be a shortage of mops or something now?

there's going to be a dish soap shortage on the scale of the hand sanitizer shortage a year ago

And Prisoners with mops.

That is basically what will be done. It is a little more complicated than that but you nailed it in the most simple way.

If anyone who works in the industry knows what we can do to help wildlife, or who is organizing the effort, please pass on the information... Thank y'all for giving such good information.

It'd be nice if they can direct all the oil to mobile bay.

In change the way we live ours lives I am obviously referring to the fact the we use petroleum for virtually everything, right down to the keyboards we are typing on. This will have a major regulatory effect on the gulf oil industry. When that effect takes place it will do many things including likely cost many jobs as well as cause the prices of oil to rise. I think this could spell the end of the days of offshore drilling in the US, which has major global supply effects.

Obviously this change will not happen overnight and in trying to keep from getting political, but if you don't believe the current administration will not try to make political hay out of this, you are crazy. It will be more reason to prevent drilling and more reason to promote incredibly damaging legislation such as cap and trade.

Those are facts...so in my humble opinion, this is likely to effect the way we live our lives, especially those who live in this region, for a long time to come.

Fred, can you edit the OP to include that hotline info? I'm sure lots of people will be asking for it.
