Yeah, now CNN and BP's are the same. That looks worse, but I have no idea what I'm looking at. It just looks like shite is coming from everywhere now. But for all I know that could just be the mud getting blown back out.

This appears according to guys on here to be a top view as opposed to seeing it from the side. I'm hoping that it just LOOKS worse at this angle. Disclaimer: I DON'T KNOW shite!

From the front view you just saw one big gush ... but could it have been all 3 gushes forming 1 big gush and this pic/angle just shows the 3 gushes better????

I'm not an oil expert or anything, but it looks like that leak has grown in size. There are 2 possibilities:

1- BP was showning us some other smaller leak and hiding this big arse leak seen today
2- the kill shot made things worse.

As of right now, I'll go with option 1 but give me a few hours and we may find otherwise.

And those who aren't religious, now would be a very good time to start!

I am "the type" ... been praying since it happened.

its not going to just stop flowing all of a sudden. I presume they are trying to overwhelm the flow by pumping the drilling fluid at a high rate. eventually (hopefully) enough will stay in the piping to start slowing down the flow which will then allow more mud to accumalate and finally choke off the well.

Obviously they have to create enough pressure to compensate for the open ended leak/riser in order to get the mud to flow down well. Anyone care to guess what PSI they are pumping at.

Also I would assume that if the pressure is dropping that the mud is making its way down well.

I dont know shite either.

I was watching feeds last night and the "leak" was present in those feeds doing exactly what it is doing now. I do not think it is a leak based upon what I saw last night.

I think they are showing this view because that will be the best way to determine if it works. Patience...

relax, that's mud, not oil. it's a battle right now between kill mud fighting against flowing oil.

Ok it is back!

So we are "cheering" for the grayish mud to overwhelm the dark oil?

dup how do you decipher if it's mud or oil? they both look terrible!

And if it's freeflowing how will it just magically "stop" and cement off?
