As the cut gets deeper into the pipe, won't it be the pressure from teh well pushing the blade up that puts it in a bind? It's almost like the blade is a cap being pushed up.

Is anything going on in the feed right now? I can not really see.

This is typical. What we see currently is nothing happening. Hurry up and wait.

The riser is not cut free yet so they can't move it yet. From what I've gathered, the wire saw bound up. They are moving the Shears of Doom in for some reason. Maybe they're going to cut the pipe closer to the BOP to take some of the strain off. Or maybe they're just going to grab it with the shears and try to pull it to one side to take the load off of the wire saw.

That would make a lot of sense.

Looks like they're closing the jaws on the cut end of the riser. Wonder if they're going to use the weight of the shears to push down on the riser and open up the cut on the other end a little.

they have the bandsaw setup @90 to the f#%k*%g riser

They have to get a flat smooth cut to get a seal with the piece they are going to put over it!!

They ought to somehow "crimp" the pipe and reduce the flow. Nothing that they set out to do has worked.

Looks closer to 45° but I get your point.

Did they just cut a large section of the riser off? It sure is swinging around alot.

nice rigging too, what is wrong with the lugs on the riser

hmmm... Maybe I should have said "appears to be swinging out of control"...
