She probably gets exposed to more hydrocarbons from her makeup than she would get from a walk on the beach.

This.... it is a petroluem-based product like the other 6000 that we use every day.

Is she going to pump gasoline. Is she going to smell gasoline when someone else pumps the gas. Benzene is not safe and there will be oil all over the ground at the gas station so she better be careful.

But the actual worst threat to her life will be the actual drive to and from the beach.

Makeup doesn't have benzene FWIW.

So to answer the question....depends on how fresh the oil is hitting there.

If we are talking just tarballs, it is okay

If we are talking the little mud looking sheets of oil, with the wind blowing from the path of the accident....then things get a little iffy, but it is still probably alright.
