It's close to two decades since I heard a Buffett album that was worth buying. Maybe since Prince of Tides? I still think some of the stuff he did in the 70's is very good, though, maybe even excellent.
I often come across people who completely revile Buffett's music but on a couple of occasions, I was able to play a few tunes like West Nashville Grand, Brahma Fear, Kick it in Second Wind, and so forth. One Buffett hater in particular admitted that she did not know he had done music like that. Alas, Buffett's music has gotten downright goofy to me, and Buffett himself has become a caricature of a self important left wing nutjob.
just my .02

When it happens, people in the state department/EPA/whatever should make records and movies and let them see how stupid it sounds and looks to get outside your area of expertise.

Soooo Bush is the oil spill's fault?
I thought I was the only one that caught that. The subject line sounds like the spill spawned Bush and he was sent back in time.

It pisses me off that they can spout insane bullshite like this in a newspaper and it is put all over the country like it is the truth. I'd like to see him say something like that with a good TV interviewer who would look him in the eye and say, "You really have no idea what you are talking about do you?"

Thats just plain fricking stupid of Buffet to say shite like that.
I fricking hate Obama and Bush. They're both fricking useless scumbags IMO.
All the love here for Bush. Name one good thing that piece of shite has done for Louisiana. Or for the US ? No doubt one of the worse presidents in US history and Obama isn't far behind if not tied already. We're fricked people.

+1
Seriously, look at the Q and A patterns in an interview with one of them vs. a conservative...Chris Matthews will ask Sean Penn a question then get up and go to the bathroom during the answer, come back and lob another softball. With a conservative he parses it out word by word and never lets the person finish...
This makes my stomach hurt...

If you can't figure it out for yourself then no amount of explanation on my part will help!
But I'll try.
Conservatives have repeatedly said that everything that has happened since Obama took office is his fault. Nothing had anything to do with George Bush. Just as this oil spill happened while Obama was in office, the fact that the policies of George Bush regarding the oil companies and drilling probably contributed heavily toward it don't matter.
Any idiot knows that we got involved in Afghanistan under Bush. The fact that it was Bush's policy to make Iraq and Saddam Hussein the focus of his war effort and put Afghanistan on the back burner and leave Obama to cleanup the mess doesn't seem to matter to Mr. Steele. Its just something else for the Republican leadership to latch onto to blame Obama for another Bush frick-up. But to the Republicans credit, they did chastise him and rebut the remarks.
There is enough blame to go around for everybody in this disaster, the American people included. Don't you think it time that we stopped with bullshite political posturing on all sides regarding not only this but other important matters concerning this country and start to putting America first instead continuing to act like a couple of little kids arguing over who gets the biggest piece of pie?

Does he have a website where you can send him fan mail? If so is he known for reading it?
Because he is a douche, and I wouldn't mind sending him fan mail, even though he could give 2 fricks about what I would have to say anyway.

At what point do the problems with the country including immigration, the economy, how MMS operates etc. become President Obama and his administration's problems? He has been in office for 17 months and is the leader of the free world. It is time to man up, own it and actually get some shite done. The old "blame Bush" mantra is getting really old and is not helping in the slightest.

Of course, but I still don't see how this has anything to do with Jimmy Buffett or rigs blowing up.
