19 year old college kid, lives with his mother (no pics), who is our neighbor. Dad lives in Dallas. Dad buys kid a used car. Kid flies out to Dallas to pick it up. Starts home yesterday, somehow gets on I-20 going west instead of east. Gets all the way to Abilene before he figures out he's going in the wrong direction. Retraces his route back to Dallas, starts over today, finally makes it home

We call that "taking the scenic route".

I've heard a boomer ask if Texas was on the way to Florida.

Origin point was in Louisiana.

It's not just a Zoomer issue. My parents literally don't go anywhere without putting their destination in the car GPS first. Even to the grocery store or church. Even home from the grocery store or church. Drives me crazy.

5:1 he had a tinder match he couldn't pass up in Abeline. "I am just a dumb sooner and don't know any better" just makes it easier to sell.

My stepson was given a Mustang GT by his grandfather. He went to Univ of South Alabama to enroll as a freshman. He was gone for a couple of hours and my wife(no pics)started to worry. After 4 hours, he called to say he was lost. I asked what were the closest landmarks/road signs/highway signs he saw. He was in Mississippi, going west on 98. His reasoning was that he could see the sunset from our house so that was the direction he was going.

That was my reaction when I went to get him. In his mind apparently, if he was seeing the sunset, he was getting closer to home.

To this day, I can't have a serious discussion with him.

I figured they all used Waze

When I was in college, me and a buddy went to visit an old friend in Indiana on Spring Break one year.

We had a map but somehow ended up in St Louis. I remember saying, that's the arch, we aren't supposed to be here

Not too bad of a detour but it cost us several hours. Drugs may have been involved.

GPS is not accurate to get to our house. But we live on a residential street with normal house numbers. (It brings you to an intersection close to our house) If you can read and make it here fine I know you are normal. If you drive up and down the street 6 times or call me for further directions I know you are an idiot.

And you believe the 19 year old, who is in Dallas, filled with fun things to do?

I'm technically a millenial. Though I prefer to identify as Gen X. And your "ok boomer" gif is woman in her 30s or 40s at least.
