We use both zoom and teams. They are both fine if your IT folks know what the frick they're doing.

I'm sure it's been patched but how many people click "upgrade later" on their personal machine for 6 months?

LOL
I work for one of the biggest companies in the world and our IT is top notch.
We use teams and skype. When we got sent home with this mess, we received stern warnings to not use zoom for work. That was back in mid March, so maybe things are better with zoom now.

No i didn't. I said it wasn't because I watch gay porn.

That does sound a lot like I'm saying I watch gay porn. shite, I did just see some gay porn. So i guess I've now watched gay porn. But that doesn't mean that I actively seek out gay porn to see. I just saw some gay porn. Once. Today, in fact.

You need to update to their new version that came out last week.

Way more secure. It supports 256 bit encryption

I manage the Zoom account at my job. We’ve been doing a lot of Zoom conferences and have luckily not had any issues with hacking (yet) but about once a week, I get an email from Zoom about some security issue that is resulting in them shutting down certain features. Every week it’s something new that’s been exploited.

Zoom is going to make out like a bandit from all this but they sure as hell weren’t prepared to have everyone on the planet using their service overnight.

Lots of meetings have been getting Zoom bombed. NY Intergroup has issued some guidance on how to better protect them.

Dont really see anything wrong with wrecking people that are too pussy to meet in person.

Should be standard operating procedure.

Gay porn? Catholic?

Seriously though - just set a password and a waiting room so you can approve whomever comes in. We have 3 zoom meetings a a week for church with zero issues.

Stop using Zoom. My company (200k+ employees) has banned it. It won't allow it to enter the company. If remote, better not. IT reports you to HR if caught using it. Major security risk.

I think this has happened a lot and one reason for app update requiring improvement with passwords for meetings and waiting rooms. Zoombombing - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zoombombing

Zoom unencrypts calls passing through their server and then encrypts them again after. Seeing owners ties to China (on top of being born & educated there while not appearing seem to be a dissident) I feel for anyone conducting important private business using zoom. Their security is constantly being updated to deal with holes (not sure all bugs).

That being said I have noticed Apple using .com.cn iCloud hostnames, Microsoft and it's azure using .cn, as well as amazon. Last 3 were on phone and in background with background turned off.

Yep, can even marry the dude if I want. As long as no more the 10 people gather to watch and we don't get a cake from that one place.
