I'm not 100% sure, but I feel your implying we should exterminate all black people?

I would buy one of the ones near Alaska Street Park near Nicholson if I had the capital. That area is going to triple in value over the next decade, but in the meantime, I could make money renting it to students or section 8.

Exactly. One side is over-run as is. Half of one side is pretty f*&ked up. In 20 years, half of one side will be thuggish and the other side will be nice. I call that a win.

Right now: North (trashy), Southeast (nice), Southwest (trashy), East (nice), West (river)

Future: Southwest (trashier) with everything else nice.

I don't lump all black people as the same. But don't act like the criminal element isn't a cancer on the city. I'm advocating getting rid of section 8. I'm advocating against slumlords. I'm advocating doing whatever can be done to prevent the detroitification of Baton Rouge.

I love how if I'm against the thuggin it and lovin it crowd, it somehow makes me against all black people.

If the criminal element was white, Hispanic, Asian, whatever, I'd be calling them out all the same.

Yes, because I advocated for those.

Y'all are pathetic. Call a spade a spade and I'm suddenly hitler.

Look at the damn map. Look at the demographics. Statistics don't lie. It's not a black or white problem. It's a problem of the culture of the LCD taking over.

You aren't advocating for shite. When is the last time you went to a Council Meeting? You sit on here spewing innuendo. That is not advocating.

ETA: I'm not blind. And it most certainly is a "black" issue. But napalm and public hangings aren't constructive or realistic solutions. They are just the ideas you get off on.

So all blacks are the same?

Really?

So if I rail and rant (and you're right, that's all it is) against the TPOS...I'm actually against every black person ever?

How stupid is that?
If i'm against methhead thieves, am I against all whites?
If I'm against the cartels, am I against all Hispanics?

the water has been cut off.

A few older folks who bought their units many years ago are still living there with no running water I understand.

Not sure what kind of deal they worked out with Entergy.

Only about 4-5 units occupied in the whole place.
I know for a fact two of them are white.

I never understand why liberals consider white flight a bad thing. If i live in a neighborhood and it ripe with rape, murder, aids and other criminal activity, i'm not going to stick it out just to try and show people i'm so tolerant that i'm willing to be murdered to show that. That's 100% stupidity.
And i'm sure you are going to say, "well instead of leaving, try fixing the issue." If it's 1 or 2 houses that are the problem, ok. But if the entire fricking section of a city is just like this, then you are outnumbered, and no amount of liberal tolerance is going to change the crime rates there.

People don't like to live next to murderers and rapists. I know it's a silly thing, but they just don't. So call me a racist a-hole for leaving a warzone to live in a homogenous neighborhood filled with friendly caring families that help each other and generally want to just raise their kids somewhere safe. You go ahead and be tolerant and show the world you're not racists by hanging out with the "thugging it and lovin it" crowd, and good luck avoiding arse rape and murder and God help you if you want to raise kids in those neighborhoods.

You call it white flight, i call it providing a safe living for my family.

And, i'm sure you are one of the same "tolerant" liberals that condemn gentrification, which is simply trying to make the neighborhood better. I never understand why you lefties get so upset over people trying to make a neighborhood better, safer, and economically more profitable. Instead you say that is racist because it is taking away the culture of a neighborhood. Murder and Rape isn't culture. It's a crime.

Clearly I rustled some jimmies here..and not a liberal

Seems to me that the welfare state has really been the biggest advancing factor of increasing the lowest common denominator. Animals in the wild will quickly switch over to a baited food source for as long as it is provided. Provide it for long enough and it forgets how to fend for itself when returned to its natural environment. People and animals are obviously different scenarios but I think the basic concept is not far off. Not sure how close to the truth Wikipedia is on section 8 housing but it states the maximum figure for the maximum allowed voucher is $2,200 per month. If that is anywhere close to the truth then damn...that's one hell of a nice home payment. I used to live in a nice suburb of Atlanta in a 1,800sf house for $1,400/mth.

The answer has to lay with many different groups...community leaders, parents in these communities, local/state/national government, etc. if everybody in the state of LA was on the same page with THE fix and the federal govt was not...we still don't solve the problem. For this reason I believe gentrification will be the only solution and the poor will get pushed to new areas. It will always be a problem that shifts geographically due to many influencing factors. In 50 years we'll be talking about some other part of our-town, USA that "used to be such a nice area". It will never be perfect.
