I’m curious as to why?

I love tropical weather as long as it’s no stronger than a cat 1. Love rainy/windy weather. I sleep best in it.

. Yes. I enjoy weather also. We were fortunate to have nice weather for Delta.

But that is about the max. Cat 1 is still to strong because it strips the trees and floods a lot of folks.

I love to be in the marsh when the fronts blow through.

He was a climatologist and did lots of on air reports on storms and what not back then. Get with the fricking program.

Big news for the NHC. They've officially hired Philippe Papin.

I have a big announcement. Today is my 1st day at the National Hurricane Center (@NWSNHC) as a new member of the Hurricane Specialist Unit!

This is my dream job, & I am humbled to work for @NOAA/@NWS helping forecast to protect life & property. So grateful for this opportunity?? LINK

Anyone who hasn't followed Philippe, he's likely a big part of the future of hurricane forecasting. He knows his stuff and doesn't mind sharing his thoughts.

Oh wow. I'm happy for him and he's incredibly knowledgeable. Especially with the application of PV to the tropics. He'll do nothing but help make the NHC better.

All y'all should follow him. It'll be a bit over your head sometimes (it is mine at times) but he does a great job explaining things and its done with excellent gifs to see it visually.

What would be more 2020 than a Tampa Cane?

GFS has been very bullish with something coming off central america. Euro looks like it's trying to spin something up possibly in the same general area later too. Wouldn't be 2020 until Florida gets fricked too since they've somehow avoided direct hits.

You must have family too stupid and stubborn to move to higher ground even though they’ve been thoroughly warned. Unkindly die and frick off.

Actually the weather was pretty close to the type of weather I enjoy in Terrebonne parish when delta moved ashore.
