Most everything I say in here is straight from NHC or Levi discussion. Its just not what people want to hear I guess

You said it wouldn’t blow up overnight bruh which was against what NHC and Levi said. It was a ragged TS yesterday without robust convection.

The Weather Channel just said that you have to take the forward speed into account when discussing the wind speed. If a 90 mph wind storm is moving 30 mph, the damage will be on the scale of a 115 wind storm moving 5 mph.

and the opposite would apply on the west side correct? If moving forward at 25, the 90 mph wind would really an effective 65 mph wind?

Is it ridiculous that at this point my office in Hammond has not issued any sort of statement on this storm?

Who knows anymore? We've been having hurricanes for decades and they still get surprised every time.

What a shite show. Let’s let all the kids go to school then notify parents of early dismissal

NOLA/Zeta is reminding of Atlanta Snowmaggedon 2014 in a way. Idiot government officials downplayed the weather initially and sent everyone to work and school, then hours later tried to dismiss schools and work early and caused a massive tracking jam. People abandoned cars, kids stuck in schools and busses. Gridlock.

There were other mets saying the same thing last night. Hell, the NHC even mentioned the chance of it strengthening considerably in the discussion. If you want to shite on Cosmo, at least shite on him for a valid reason.

Remember, in an emergency Homeland Security recommends giving the newborn humans the milk from the dog mother before feeding the dogs if the human mother can't keep up.

This has to be the strongest hurricane that has made landfall in October on a Wednesday around 3 pm in the year ending with a zero.

I want to point out that in a pre-season hurricane thread Klotzbach and Colorado State University put out an "Above Average Outlook" for this hurricane season. Several people here shite on him/them.

That is all.
