Zaila Avant-garde -- Louisiana Girl wins Scripps National Spelling Bee

She is from Harvey Louisiana.
First person from Louisiana to ever win.
She holds 2 world records for dribbling and 1 for juggling.
She is a basketball prodigy -- appeared in a commercial with Steph Curry for dribbling.
Amazing parenting and hard work pays off -- apparently her grandfather was a jazz prodigy.
She barely had to think about the words -- and frankly, she spelled stuff that I could barely guess with multiple choice. Really fun to watch!

I was watching at Chilisearlier but the sound wasn’t on. Congrats to her and her family. And congrats to Louisiana for being first in something.
