and also a stand-alone subscription to ESPN app.

You can’t watch ESPN, ESPN2, ABC, ESPNU, etc on ESPN+

Sports are the only thing I use tv for these days. Losing espn channels would be a disaster for their revenue

I called Charter this morning and they have a few different options that aren’t listed on their website. If I could fire the wife and kid, I could’ve got away with adding some kind of streaming package for sports and a few others for like $20/mo. Since I can’t fire them I had to go back to the Silver package. They graciously put me back on a 12 month promotion and am now going to be paying around $175/mo for internet and tv. frick YTTV and frick Charter!

Access tonight's game vs LATech on YTTV via CBS Sports. Confirmed its there.

If you are a Verizon Unlimited plan subscriber you have free access to Disney Bundle including ESPN.

Just need to switch service providers when prompted.

So, is HULU now the best sports option?

The thing I like about YTTV is the unlimited dvr. Hulu makes you pay extra for a capped amount of dvr time.

It probably is unless you care about local channels. They don’t carry all of them so you would inevitably miss some games. Unless you are in antenna range. Unfortunately I am not and am getting bent over by Charter.

That’s why I went back to Hulu about a month ago. Cable/streaming providers continue to go through contract battles every couple of years at the expense of their customers. So I just continue to switch and forth every couple years.

Please do not join HULU. It's just now getting better and not freezing, and I don't want that to start happening again.

Googles parent company is the 4th richest company in the world. Disney isn’t buying google.

You can’t watch ESPN, Espn2, sec network, etc without a service provider login. Espn plus is different programming.

That isn't going to work out how you planned. You won't be able to watch but 2-3 bowl games without an ESPN provider.
