Drew caved at the first hint of adversity. If he'd have stuck to his guns just a little, plenty of people would've had his back.
I don't think im overstating this, but the way Brees handled it, has a lot to do with emboldening the commie blm movement nation wide to become more aggressive and more unreasonable.

Drew said last night that he's standing for the anthem and respects the opinion of others that do not. Good for him.

The thing that really turned my stomach about Drew is that he came out strongly in favor of standing to honor the sacrifices of his grandfathers, and then a mere gust of warm wind came along and he melted with ease, and within days of him making his strong comments regarding respecting the flag and the country
That told me a LOT about his lack of courage under fire, and hell, it wasn’t even real bullets his family members faced in WWII. It was just words, and still he caved.

Brees apologized for Myers Leonard standing. He also apologized that it was Sunday, and for breaking up the Beatles.

Drew is keeping his job with NBC after he retires.
If you wonk for NBC, you must bend the knee.

This post having 44 upvotes is an example of our problem.
Factually inaccurate, but appeals to the sensibilities of the mob
Meyers Leonard is white.
Hell, it’s the entire point of the thread.

Brees is still out there sycophantically kissing the SJW/BLM/EIEIO types. PLease STFU Brees. Your obsequious arse kissing is nauseating.

I'm going to downvote simply because I disagree with this statement...
Kneeling during the anthem is an affront to my father (purple heart - WWII) and all other members of my family that served including myself. I take it personally and detest these self serving idiots to the maximum.

This is America! One should have the right to express his opinion

VERY disappointing....
He could have just kept his mouth shut and we wouldn't have known just how weak his convictions are.

Well we all saw what happened with Jonathon Isaac, he stood once and was suddenly sniped from the rafters in the knee. Out for the year now

He was probably more worried about his blind side.

Yep, I'm a huge Brees fan but very disappointed he yielded to the mob.

I hope there are at least a few pissed off DEs and LBs who are just waiting to take the 15 yd penalty for the ground slam.
