90's, a lot of hot girls that shave their bush back then. Also they didn't have any trashy tats on them.

Got to go with 80s with cocaine and MDMA.

Save for getting their heads blown off in war, coming back with severe PTSD, or captured and tortured. Not to mention you lived through the Depression before that. You have to be a psychopath to want to be 18 in 1942 really anywhere in the world.

was there really a more relaxed view on drugs? I feel like the penalties for drugs were way harsher back then
I'm almost 60, i vaguely remember the 70s. Weed was everywhere, it wasn't really thought much about, but users kept it on the down low. Soy boys these days who complain about "weed smell" would have never made it back then, plus everyone smoked cigarets. The weed seemed stronger back then (compared to now) but that may be due to my age. The "War on Drugs," of the 80s killed off a lot of the MJ usage. The war on drugs and AIDS are the two stains on the 80s.

That’s definitely not true. Weed is much, much, much stronger now than it was when I was in college.

Mid 60's through late 70's were my prime single man days, when at 16 any neighborhood or pool hall bar in Nola would serve you if you were tall enough to see over it, to the Tulane Jewish princesses from up north, all on birth control and horny as you, away from home for the first time. Beyond them, the pool was wide and deep.
Music wise, it's not even close to any other era. Weed was cheap, primo and easy to get. It's hard to describe how good it was mainly because it sounds unbelievable.
Sex, Drugs & Rock and Roll wasn't a slogan only for the bands.
A glorious time to be young and free, I would go back in an instant.

I'm just going of my personal experience. In the early/mid 80s, weed hit me just right, the weed i smoke now does nothing to me. Obviously, the strain makes the difference. I've never really been involved in the procurement end of the it, just consumption. The weed I smoke now, i have no idea where my buddy gets it, just like I didn't know where it came from 40 years ago.

90s - the rave scene was phenomenal where I lived (Orlando) - lots of great nights raving until noon the next day. Made lifelong best friends from those days of raving

Agreed. I had a helluva good time. Also got to be a child of the 80's which I wouldn't trade for anything.
I’ll second that!! Turned 18 in 1990. Childhood in the eighties with all the best Saturday Morning cartoons and terrific toys and hands down the best decade of movies. Early adulthood in the early nineties. Good tech but before social media ruined everything.

The 80s were fun to grow up in but as others have said, Ive always loved the music of the 70s. Those concerts in the 70s had to be fricking awesome but I was too young.

70's would be dope. At least the movies make it seem that way. Just seemed so free back then.
But I had a great time in the 2000s. No social media quite yet. Was there, but we didn't have access on our phones. Cell phones were there, so it was easier to link up. They couldn't really do anything but call or text, so people weren't on them 24/7.

For like $5 at that..
70's were awesome... Too bad the clothes sucked...
My 30's were my prime party age. I was single, had money, my own house, and a job that allowed me to pretty much travel at the drop of a hat.

The 70s. That was a great decade for a kid to grow up in. Wish I'd have been a little older, during that time...
