When I was in the service we use to go on payday, lol, but we were all young and dumb. The older I got the less I liked to go, seemed sad to see women and not be able to actually have much of a chance. Better to hit up bars back in the day and try and find a gal to go home with.
I've not been in decades now and would not go unless being drug to one as part of some bachelor party type thing and even then I'd probably skip.
Drinks are too expensive too

Right after Desert Storm I came home on leave and some buddies took me to the Platinum Club in Anniston. This was a full nude bar stocked mostly with girls paying their way through nearby Jacksonville State.
I didn’t spend a dime that night. And my buddies even paid for me to go spend some quality time in the VIP room with an especially patriotic blond who made sure I knew she really appreciated my service.

Your post made me laugh.
I used to manage some sports bars on Okinawa and our company also had two strip clubs. You wouldn’t believe how much money those peeler bars brought in alone.
All of our customers were American military and it was insane on payday weekend. Those guys would blow their entire paychecks on payday. Non-payday weekend, we were almost dead. Some of these military guys just could not manage their money.
But they had girls in there pulling $15,000 a month. Crazy.

Probably 35 years ago I had a live in girlfriend and I had coworker that wanted to move out of his parents house. So he moved in with us. He was really big I’d say 5’9” close to 300 lbs. Anyway he wanted to go to a strip club . When we walked in every girl coming running up to him saying his name with hugs. One day at work he got a call to go to the office ( before cell phones) it was his dad apparently he had maxed out his dads credit cards going to strip clubs and massage parlors

Seems like a YUGE waste of money.
I went to my one and only one on my 18th birthday and was more entertained by the watching how the middle aged losers on sniffer's row behaved than I was by that was unfolding on the stage. Of course back then it was more of a strip tease show than anything else.
I would have enjoyed going to Mardi Gras much more.

The thing is, if I’m drunk enough to think it’s a good idea to go to a strip club, I almost certainly do not have safe/legal means to get there.

When I was with a big law firm, we had a male paralegal who was quite a player. Our three hottest staff members gave him a three on one for his birthday (one was his gf).
When the Hustler Club opened in Shreveport, some of the religious members of the staff went down to protest. Their protest was over the lunch hour. Guess what they saw? The male paralegal had gone down to the club to eat lunch. He came out, and there were 7-8 of his co-workers.
