You gotta get those occupancy sensors. Mine is set for 74 through the day and 72 for evenings and mornings. When we are not home, it kicks up to 78.

You fancy little poon.

When I wake up: push it up a little
When I leave: push it up some more
When I get home: push it down a little
When I go to sleep: push it down a little more.

1 bedroom apt with an old school thermostat.

I'm sure your husband would prefer it cooler.

Are pigs known to run hot or something?

Oh well, oink oink.. I get so hot when I'm sleeping. 70 was a compromise because I'd really prefer more around 68.

I’m gone 14 hours every day. My best results are thermostat at 90 after I leave and 76 a hour before I get home. $80 power bill.

Not a terribly great idea in a high humidity environment. The AC should run enough to keep mold and mildew at bay.

You people with a bill less than 150 must live in small apartments or large boxes.

Not needing AC is the biggest factor.

I’m home almost all day. Drop it to 69 for sleeping. Wake up drop it to 66- it will hit 66 and then turn it up to 72. It will stay below 72 and it won’t run again until mid afternoon then will run until night when it’s back down to 69 again. 2 br 2 ba apt upstairs with vaulted ceiling.

I used to live in a very old, poorly insulated house

Ironically My house has the internally concrete walls and "energy efficient" insulation. The contractor installed a 2ton. Compressor and 2.5 ton air handler.

He incorrectly assumed that the insulation would help.
It does help with sound but not much else.

Oddly enough it quit cooling for a short period during last night's storm but started cooling after it let up.
71 at vent during storm and 60 at vent after running the whole time.

My a/c man told me if you're not going to change your thermostat more than six degrees it's cheaper to leave it as is.
