He may act like a sexual deviant but this man knows a lot about the Container Store and Ikea.

But he only drinks cheap liquor. You have been warned.

2 months ago my life changed in a drastic way following the stroke . I spent the next 10 days in the hospital slowly coming out of the mental haze only to discover I couldn't move my right side.
I had thoughts of wishing I had died so I wouldn't have to face the challenge of living with the effects and struggling to get better. Not being able to do the simple things be independent, to survive without help.

I may be able to get closer to that point . The reality is is none of us are able to handle what life throws at us without help without friends.
Sometimes we just need more help than other times and sometimes we're able to give help.
These two months later I have made progress I can believe that I'll be recover because of come so far in a short time but I would not be here without the help and support of so many.

I post this today to say thank you I know I've said it before but every day I'm so appreciative of the love and support shown to me by members of this board. Your donations your time your prayers the phone calls and letters emails text messages and chats give me a reason to keep trying. b
Because I'm going to get better because I have been given I'm blessed with the motivation and opportunity to heal.

Thank you all of you I can't say it's enough so just keep saying it I love you guys and thank you for everything

I am so glad you can see light at the end of the tunnel now, owlster. My therapists told me that physical and speech therapy progress is typically limited mainly by the determination of the patient. A year out I am no longer in therapy, but am still improving. Stay the course, brother....

Appreciate the update, and mostly your example of gratitude.

And you know we mean well when we say to keep pushing and work hard in therapy. Truth is, you probably have days when you are absolutely sick of therapy.

Just like having a good work/life balance, take some time off, then come back to therapy with renewed energy.

Owlvis, I know that you and Rummy are carousing in Cabo. This is your best SWITCHEROO thread ever.

In the event that I am wrong, please know that I am very proud of you. You are a lot braver than I am. Even though I have never met you in person, I appreciate the emails and calls we have had over the years. I am proud to call you a friend. Keep fighting the good fight. :nohomo:
