So it’s spelled exactly the same way as as a misspelled word.

Youngsville just called a special city council meeting tomorrow at 5PM.
Unconfirmed reports from a friend in Youngsville is the CoP is on admin leave. Not sure who can place him on leave since he’s elected but that’s the info I was told

I assume the Sadvocate got YPD to release the video from a FoIA request. I wonder who gave them the head's up to even look for it. SOmebody has an axe to grind with Kayla and the Chief.

So just to understand her story, she was exhausted from driving back from Alabama that day. However she went to the YPD Chief's house on a Friday night to pick up some beauty products? When asked if she had been drinking she says "Yes, no, Possibly" then when asked to clarify she says "no"

She got into an accident on Palfrey Pkwy in Sugar Mill Pond bad enough to rip the tire off of her "Luxury SUV" and cause excessive damage to another SUV. Yet she received no ticket for reckless driving, excessive speed, etc?

The Speed limit on Palfrey is 15mph (people speeding through there is a well known problem because it is a quick cut through between Chemin Metairie Pkwy and Hwy 92).

weird nobody asked the CHief is she had been drinking at his house. i am sure a lot was said after they cut off the BWC

Good Lord. Why does Youngsville have a homeless man for police chief?

He looks like he’d have trouble passing a field sobriety test.

Also, let this image be a friendly reminder to all you guys with grey beards:

Shave every fricking day or you look like a bum.

Not distinguished, not erudite, not cosmopolitan; homeless.

They're fricked. This has officially entered "you're all fricked" territory.

She will eventually resign as will likely the police chief

Well, now they can do all the blow and she can get all the facials she needs to keep up her youthful glow without having to fear the public inteusions that comes along with civil service.

Yeah the mayor just put out a statement. The special meeting tomorrow is to discuss launching an investigation into both of them.
They’re cooked now. Mayor and other council members will not defend them at this point

It appears the special council meeting is to discuss a possible investigation into the chief of police, not the councilwoman.

LINK

quote:

Youngsville Mayor Ken Ritter issued a statement condemning Councilwoman Reaux's behavior during the November 2022 crash investigation.

“I condemn the unprofessional comments and behavior displayed by Ms. Reaux during her November automobile accident and during the incidents that followed. While uncharacteristic of her usual behavior, there is an expectation that those elected to serve are held to a higher standard. Officers should always be treated with respect and dignity, and as community leaders, we must set that example.”

The Youngsville Mayor also announced that a special council meeting has been called for this Thursday to consider an independent investigation of Youngsville Police Chief Rickey Boudreaux.

“Youngsville Police Department Officers are career civil servants with job security that should be able to conduct themselves without fear of political pressure or retaliation. I trust their training and judgment. In an effort to eliminate allegations and to restore confidence in the integrity of the Youngsville Police Department, a special council meeting to consider an independent investigation of the Chief of Police has been called for this Thursday at 5 pm at the Youngsville Municipal Complex 201 Iberia Street.”

Been knowing Rick a long time, always been a nice guy in my interactions with him. He screwed up big time on this one. How in the hell did he not think this would resurface one day with cameras, an accident, a witness, etc. He should come clean, admit wrongdoing, and offer to resign if that’s what the voters want. At least he might get some sympathy and respect instead of sticking to his story and making things worse.

Too late for any of that. This was one incident but he has a history. Not fit for office in my opinion.
As I’ve been saying, another likely instance is him covering up for the woman who ran thru the roundabout sign.
