Because these are the same people who demand that you wear one. These are the people who demand that your children wear them

Masks wearers should be shamed early and often

There’s a lot of international travelers at the palace resort we go to in Cancun but last week when we were there I couldn’t believe the number of people still choosing to wear masks. I believe most of them were Asian, but not all. Felt like I was witness to child abuse with all the small children, maybe some as young as 2 to 5 tops, that were being masked. Saw that a couple dozen times over the week

I’m sure the fear mongering is likely a lot worse wherever these people are from. At least that’s the excuse I created for their parents.

Maybe they have jacked teeth? From a looks standpoint, I've seen girls that would benefit from masking.

For the same reason we worry about anyone else with mental health issues. While I support their right to wear them, I am equally concerned for their mental health and well-being.

We should be so far past the "guidelines" by now. They didn't work at any point in time.

Why care about anything?

This board exists to observe and comment on society at large.

Doesn't mean we really "care"

If enough people decide they need to wear masks, you will be made to wear one as well.

I mean it's not like this exact scenario hasn't happened already.

In the NE a lot of places still required masks. One church we went to required Vax Cards (Trinity church NYC)
(Only place that did)

Such a straw man.

I haven't worn a mask in over a year, have seen a lot of people still wear masks, but I have yet to have any one of them demand that I wear one.

I hated wearing a mask but, not everyone’s the same. I can’t believe we’re still talking about this.

Every black person I see in my office building wears a mask unless they are eating and drinking. Meetings, walking down the hall, sitting in their office alone. I don't get it.

Yeah, let’s not talk about anything. Because talking = caring and caring = not cool.

Why would this bother you? It's their life. I'm sure some of them hate carrots and you can't believe that because you love carrots and can't believe anyone else can't stand the taste of them. Just stay in your lane. Those people have zero to do with you.

To be fair, I rarely drive around town alone with a carrot shoved up my nose.

Come to think of it, shoving a carrot up one's nose would probably be just as effective at stopping the Coronavirus as a mask.

No it’s not. It still exists.

Im still dealing with it at work. We are back in masks because the local CDC Covid level is elevated.

Was up in the NE this past week. More people wearing masks than not.

At this point it's more of a social construct. Your friends are wearing one, therefore you're bad and killing Grandma if you don't.

Down here in ATL, the only people still wearing them are black folks.

So you're admitting that over a year ago, someone demanded you wear a mask.

And you think that couldn't happen again?
