You're confused I promise you. Two diff stories, the kid with the cops is a family friend, my stepson was murdered in the community.

"Perceived". El o el. You're trying too hard.

I just saw the video from page 1 of the thread for the first time. 100% a hate crime and 100% evidence of how fricked up black culture is in parts of this country.
I guess it is sort of related, but I really don't understand what it is about mostly young black people that when they walk around the street repeating rap lyrics (often lyrics that are profanity laced). I see it constantly. The girl filming does this at the beginning.

after going through her IG page, i can guarantee that she has/had absolutely nothing of a father or good mother figure in her life.

thats inaccurate. I'm not mad at them, but I do not trust them.

Don't blame you. No one does anymore.

The incarceration rate has to do with both committing the crimes and having money to fight the charges in court. Both of those have to do with personal responsibility.

I haven't seen any major news outlets pick up the story yet. Curious to see what happens tomorrow, or if the PD will even make a statement about it

Those are only 2 of many factors. Being smart enough to be able to find gainful employment is another one and if you choose to commit crimes being smart enough not to get caught is another. Its much easier for the average white person to stay out of jail in both of those instances.

The fact that the SAE bus incident made national news and this will not tells you EVERYTHING you need to know about race in this country at the moment. A white person who doesn't harm anyone but is caught saying a racial slur is crucified because it is shocking and out of the ordinary. A black person who assaults a white person AND a white child isn't news because it is expected and happens all of the time.

Eh, it all boils down to personal responsibility in the end....something that I haven't seen preached about in their community in my lifetime. I really wish it was stressed, or even talked about, because I hate seeing kids having no chance at life. There could be so much potential that no one will ever know about because of the thug life/victim mentality that is promoted constantly. It's like they aren't allowed to progress properly by their elders. I don't see an end to it whatsoever
