this is on the music board as well but It's crap. I have 17 free pairs of tix as well but when I tried to actually use the voucher code it said it wouldn't work. I think what's going on is once an event's tix go on sale, you have to rush to use them with your code because there is a small # that they'll allow per show and once that fills up you're screwed. No surprise they're making it extremely difficult to use. Very frustrating

The voucher codes are not active yet because the entire event list is not loaded. You are correct though, there are a limited number of tickets available per show.

I'm aware that some events are loaded. However, the number of events has increased throughout the morning.

$36.50 and 28 free tickets. However looks like free tickets are only available for select Live Nation concerts, none of which are in Louisiana I believe

I got 7 free vouchers for 2 tickets. I've successfully used 3 of them so far.

This is what happens when I try to use the voucher codes:

"Sorry, the voucher code you entered cannot be used to purchase these tickets. Please double check your code and try again"

I'm just laughing at some of the people who think they can use these vouchers for things like LSU games and Game 7 of the NBA Finals. Did you honestly think it would be that easy?

its primarily going to be concerts at livenation venues - in nola that HOB and champions square.

the events still seem to be loading into the system, this morning, as the list has grown as the day goes.

i think some people just need to breathe easy and see where it goes instead of trying to order 28 tickets before shows are even announced and then complaining.

So far I see 448 events and not a one in Louisiana. I'm sure they're coming, but by the time I notice the allotment of free tickets available will probably be used up

ETA: 9 ticket codes and 9 discounts codes for me.

Posted this on the music board but might be useful here as well.

The detail is in the fine print as to why the free ticket vouchers will be tough to redeem.

Ticketmaster needs to have $10.5 million worth of redemption a year for each of the next 4 years between discount vouchers ($2.25 each), UPS vouchers ($5 each) and free tickets. Obviously they would rather have the majority of that $10.5 million be from the discount vouchers as they would still be receiving revenue from the transaction. Ticketmaster's ideal scenario each year is that they get $10.5 million in redemption over the next 12 months in just discount, and UPS vouchers and won't have to redeem any free ticket vouchers during those 12 months.

If you check the event site, it says as of June 24 they met their 10million.

All events sold out

Guess I saw this too late. I have 6 pairs of tickets and $13.50 in useless discount codes.

Thanks, Ticketmaster!

It also says they are releasing more dates next week(which is this week)

quote:

JUNE 24 2:00 PM EDT

Over the course of this week, over $10m worth of ticket vouchers have been redeemed and the eligible events have been closed. Please check back periodically for event listings as we anticipate making additional inventory available next week

On a national news story the other night they said most tickets are for bands no one has heard of like "The Molly Ringwalds". Good free publicity

Most of the shows I saw tickets available for in PHX were more well known bands. Just older bands touring (ex: Def Leppard, Weezer, Counting Crows, Heart, Hall and Oates, Blink 182, KORN, etc).

I was able to use 6 of my vouchers last week. I suspect that there will be very few free voucher tickets released between now and next June as they have already met their obligation for the next 12 months.
