You Ever See People Post Something On Social Media That You Know Is A Lie?

Some dude I knew growing up follows me (and I follow him) on twitter, posted a meme that said something about "when I was young my parents used to just whip me".. And this person commented under it "my arse is hurting just thinking about this".
I know for a fact this dude's parents never whipped him. It was just the opposite. His parents use to let him do whatever he wanted. He could be doing something that involved several kids getting in trouble and he would be the only one whose parents wouldn't do anything. He wouldn't get a whoopin, punishes, nothing. But he makes comments like he was "raised right"..

The spanking debate is very interesting in this regard. I'm not really strongly on either side of the fence, especially since I don't have to make these decision. But one thing I've noticed is that the crotchety older pro-spankers love to go on and on about how they were spanked and "turned out fine".. when many of them are horrible human beings.
I don't personally feel it has anything to do with being spanked or not being spanked, but I find it funny when someone using themselves as prideful proof of turning out well-adjusted when they are miserable people.
