Well, if it makes you feel any better... I had a GREAT day That day. And I got laid.

Guess I had better days like that. Hell, I remember one that I knew it was the day my son was conceived.

Will be heading to Houston for some medical test if and when I can get a appointment. Was told that can take up to 3 months. Same group of doctors that has treated 4 first cousins, 3 dead with ALS. If and when and tested and is +, Hope to see y'all in a after life. I'm NOT going there.

Yes. I was in between 2 hospitals in 1 day. My Dad in one with a rare cancer fighting pneumonia and my wife's grandfather at another recovering from an aortic embolism in his stomach. Luckily the Dr on call knew exactly what it was. Visiting her Grandfather and got a call that I needed to be back to my Dad, now. He held on until I was there to let him know I was there (he was is a medical coma and Mom took him off, per his wishes). Mom and my siblings were already there.

Life suck sometimes. Things eventually get better. I still cry at 45. Don't even care. I miss him.

I'm sorry to hear that, brother. I know that the OT is predicated on being a bunch of smarmy dicks, but you know that it's all in good fun. We have your back. I'll pray for the very best of news.

Sounds like you dodged a bullet if that's the day she chose.

In retrospect, most definitely. Still fricking sucked at the time.

I realize after hearing OP's troubles, that if my worst day is losing a woman and a football game, then my life is pretty damned good. It's hard not to feel self-pity in the moment, but a broad realization of life's travails can give you good perspective.

THIS shite RIGHT HERE. I know some people who went through some for real fricked up shite in the war. Any time I start feeling bad for myself, I think about what they dealt with and I realize I am just being a pussy. You got one life, don’t spend it being a mopey puss.
