OK, being fat is something you can change. But what the hell are these dudes supposed to do about being 5'8?

If most women are constantly seeking out tall, dark, handsome and rich then the market is going to get real wonky, real fast especially when you consider that most men are willing to just take test drives rather than buy the car.

OLD had kind of a bad rap before, but seems to have got increasingly worse post-COVID,

Even though more people are apparently meeting through the apps it’s kind of like playing a bad slot machine.

Women are far pickier but also fatter than ever and meaner than ever.

The amount of chunky-arse women out there is astounding.

The most important thing a modern woman can do to improve herself is be in shape. Literally nothing else matters.

I agree that's a big issue. I had buddies in that size range and they had hell on dating apps. I'm short as shite but I was ripped af when I was single and never had a shortage of opportunities on tinder/bumble. I'm sure quite a few woman swiped left because of my height but you can't win them all so who cares.

That’s the average woman size on these apps.

yeah there were a lot of those to wade through. For first time meet ups I would go to Olive or Twist which had a pretty good happy hour. You could scope her out and see if you wanted to take her on a legit date for $20. Plus, if she was a duff you could still have a drink with her for cheap and not be a dick to her. I would be straightforward and say thanks for your time but I'm not interested at the end of it.

I can't knock dating apps without feeling like a hypocrite. Had a lot of fun on them in my 40s.

Your personality was alcohol and drunk driving to fight internet posters. Which is how you ended up divorced and in rehab

Porn, social media, and dating apps have all massively contributed to ruining a generation.

There's so many layers to this issue, but in general young men really being beaten down by society and our current education system not being set up for men to truly succeed. Women are maturing faster and men are maturing later, there's very few male role models in schools for boys, which is flowing into college and then after college the mismatch between college educated women wanting a college educated man...it's not a good outlook for stable society or growing birthrates, etc.

Everyone's been so focused on raising women "up" but no one is talking about boys and young men being knocked down.

Dating apps are a big part of this discussion, because it’s created this really horrible imbalance where select few guys have their choice of women, so they never have to or want to settle/always have another option…and women refuse to “settle” chasing after guys who they think they “deserve”

This is long, but it’s worth the watch especially if you have young children
