Being on a cruise boat is like being in prison with a chance of drowning.

I wouldn't mind going on an Antarctic cruise.
Just doing a drive by for four days I think it is. Not going on one of the expedition cruises. I'm too old to get in a zodiac in freezing waters and climb out to walk on ice and snow in ankle deep penguin shite

I love cruises
Only go to Bahamas and Virgin Islands out of Miami or Fort Lauderdale. 6-8 nights keeps all the culture away.
Nothing better than having no phone service for a week

Have one scheduled next June. Kids are late teens and they want to do the Water parks.
Taking one of the new Carnival boats out of Miami (less culture) cause they want to go to Celebration key and to Atlantis in Nassau. Also my wife's favorite beach is Half moon Cay which has to be one of the best beaches in the world. Only stop I'm not looking forward to is Key West.
I frickin hate Key West. I might just go to the fort and get back on ship. Overpriced and absolutely nothing to do

No one talks about MSC cruises.
They have some really nice new boats. But I here the food and service is terrible. We had one scheduled that we were thinking about cancelling and COVID hit and cancelled it for us

Princess cruise tours to Alaska are great.
A well oiled and tuned machine.
Every thing was on time including luggage being right where it was scheduled.
Sailed on the Majestic Princess out of Vancouver.

whoa whoa whoa what did Destin do?
Speaking of Carnival…last time my wife and I were on the beach there…we were literally the only people without a tattoo.
I turned and asked, “When did Destin turn into Carnival cruise line?”

A cruise is cheaper than a safari

I’ve been on one Norwegian cruise. It was boring and I hated it. I’ll never go again. The only thing that saved it was the novelty of it. Also I had the best meal of my life at the steak house on the last night. But screw that. Too claustrophobic and i can’t sit still. Plus I hate being around other people.

Leave January 1, 2026 for five weeks to South America and Antarctica, spending a week in Machu Picchu, then 23 days on the cruise ship and finishing up with a week in Buenos Aires, Iguazu Falls and Rio.
Nice! Wifey and I are leaving for 5 weeks to Iguazu, Buenos Aires, 18 day Swan Hellenic Antarctica Cruise to S. Georgia, Falklands, and the Peninsula, and then back to land to a few places throughout Patagonia.
OP, if you do a high-end cruise you won't have an issue. This is only our second one, first one was an Alaskan cruise and it was awesome. Helicopters to a glacier, dog sledding, cool ports with delicious king crab, etc.

It’s just a bad idea. Compact a crap load of people together over water, and then give them all the shits?

You don’t have to worry about food. You see multiple places without the fatigue of traveling. The rocking/humming of the boat makes for good sleep. Course we don’t go Carnival.
Cruises are for fat, trashy people that dont know how to travel
