You’re not looking very hard, or need a new grocery. Turkey neck and andouille gumbo is a family favorite here.

The oxtail soup at The Alley in Aiea, O’ahu (Honolulu) is featured on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives.
It’s outstanding. It’s sort of a pho. Been a few times during my stint on the island.

Looks good but we normally do a turkey neck soup.

It's pretty damn arrogant for her to presume what you might like to eat without asking you first.

Drop the necks and tater salad.
The peas look outstanding and the gravy and rice is awesome.
It would be better with roast

I'd ask where the collard/mustard greens are.
Also, the potato salad looks like it came out of tub from Walmart so I'd pass on that.
We used to get a box of turkey necks for my grandparents around this time of year to make turkey cheese. It's basically hogshead cheese made out of turkey necks. It tastes like gumbo.

I was once in the mississippi delta and stopped in a questionable looking establishment to find the singular course of the day was pork neck bones stew. 3 out of 4 of us opted for a bowl. 3/4 of us didn't make it back to the camp with two socks.

FACT
Love 'em boiled but you simply can't beat 'em smothered. Add a pot of red beans and shut the front door.

So, if they don’t cook, how do y’all eat?
I mean I cook but what good is a woman who can’t?
I like to cook so I do the cooking. As far as what good is a woman that can’t cook…well, she makes up for it in “other” ways 3-5 times a week.
