Knocked out victim looks like a douchebag. Glad he got his arse punched out. He’s like that obnoxious long haired blond prick in the bar scene in Goodwill Hunting. I’m for those kind of assholes getting knockout all day long. Plus the guy said something smart arse to Schilling to make him turn around. Once the guy ‘puffed up’ he got tapped and deserved it. It doesn’t matter if Schilling is a trained fighter.
While I’m completely supportive of what Schilling did…….

I’m with Solo Cam here….you can tell the guy in the tie made an effort to bump into him prior to his flinch out.
I have no tolerance for people who disrespect others space socially. Social intelligence is lacking in genuine assholes.
There are a ton of people in this thread who need a visit to a local sonic.

People are losing the fear of repercussions so they think they can do whatever the hell they want to anyone.
Here’s a lesson- If you talk shite to a professional fighter and pretend like your going to hit him- you’re gonna get knocked out.
This is how the world should work and guess what- next time that guy is in a bar I bet he doesn’t talk shite and try to start a fight with a stranger

The flex could be interpreted as a threatening move. It’s on the edge - kind of like cocking back to throw a punch but not moving forward with it. I don’t know; I could see it going either way, but personally, I’m glad the little twit got clocked.

It’s pretty clear the light shirt guy faked like he was going to throw a punch, apparently trying to make mma guy flinch. Instead, mma reacted like a punch was actually coming and responded accordingly.
If a guy pulled out a gun and acted like he was going to shoot a police officer, the officer would be justified in shooting back. Sucks that light shirt guy acted like he was going to throw a punch at a guy with lightning fast reflexes and knockout power. He found out.

I get what you’re saying. If you’re drunk in a bar talking shite then there is a high probability that someone is going to call you on it. I’m still torn about this one though. The guy had so many other choices and his reasoning afterwards just sounds like he’s bullshitting to cover up the fact that he just assaulted a guy. “I felt like he was eying me all night”, then leave or walk a different path inside if there is one. Then he tries to play the race card? Gtfoh. Then tries to say he felt like his life was threatened. A trained mma fighter feels like his life was threatened by a guy with nothing in his hands lunging at him? If he wasn’t so full of shite I’d be on his side instead of thinking they are both a-hole

This is correct. There is no right side here. I think both parties are assholes, and hopefully the second one will get what he deserves too.

I have been there and done this drill before with a judge over a somewhat similar situation except it was outside a bar and not in it and I was just a boxer (before I got into MMA) and about to go to OCS in the USMC at the time. I was told that having that level of training, I should know how to avoid and de-escalate a situation like that. I was basically told that I should have just walked away. It cost me an arrest for Battery and a nice civil fine with the dude I laid out sued me. This guy is gonna get hammered.
