Several years ago I just dug a big hole and ringed it with some big rocks I had accumulated over the years bringing them back from a lake in Arkansas.

Every fall, I have to do a little shovel work and reset the rocks to whip it back into shape.

Looks nice.

No reason to get complicated.

I've seen some great one using the tub of a washing machine, just make sure it's a metal tub not a porcelain covered one. The holes give good ventilation; get some of the spray paint for high heat and paint it black or something.

Sounds about how I built mine.

I did use a roasting pig from a nearby slaughter house as my guide tho.
