You can not approve all you want. You have zero reason to be the aggressor towards someone who is in retreat and not presenting a direct threat to yourself or others.
Are you maintaining that if you saw someone shoot someone else on the southside of Chicago, and they run away, you have the right to run them down and shoot them despite not knowing any of the context?

At least you admit that despite all the evidence saying they were the aggressors and the Gage guy admitting he was attempting to execute KR that nothing will sway your mind.
The facts do not align with your interpretation of the events. That is the issue. They didn't want to disarm him, or turn him in to police. They wanted to kill him. He defended himself from someone attempting him bodily harm, and in response a group of guys attempted to kill him as he was trying to turn himself in to police.
